Rachel Evey
Executive Director
Rachel joined Our Valley Our Future as executive director in 2025. She moved to Wenatchee in 2017 from her hometown of Bakersfield, California. Rachel previously served as the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation executive director until 2025, where she raised funds to support students and the college. Rachel is a member of the Wenatchee Rotary Club and a lifetime member of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association.
Steve Maher
Coordinator
Steve has served as Our Valley Our Future’s coordinator since 2016. Prior to that, he served as community coordinator of the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust’s Wenatchee Foothills Campaign. In 2011, he completed 25 years in the newspaper industry as an editor and reporter.
Rubén Betancourt
Community Engagement Specialist
Ruben joined Our Valley Our Future in 2025 after serving as the Executive Director for the Coalition of Health Improvement (CHI). Ruben brings extensive knowledge and leadership in the health literary space. Ruben is also the Associate Directory of AHEC at Wenatchee Valley College.
Maggie Richter
Development & Facilitation Specialist
Maggie joined Our Valley Our Future in 2025 after transitioning from her career in the mortgage industry. Maggie is a graduate of the Community Foundation’s Leadership Institute and brings strong organizational and relationship skills.
Jazmin Sanchez
Marketing & Translation
Jazmin joined Our Valley Our Future in 2023 after providing marketing and communication support for various non-profits in the state. She brings extensive experience in bilingual communication and social media marketing. Jazmin is also the Language Connections program coordinator at CAFÉ.
