The city of Wenatchee is reviewing a proposal that would replace two existing downtown buildings with a four-story YWCA North Central Washington housing and services center at 212 First St.
The project would add 18 housing units and expanded support-space for people experiencing homelessness, while also consolidating YWCA operations at the site, according to planning documents obtained by Source ONE News. The application calls for a singular 18-unit facility that would include permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, emergency shelters, integrated support-service space and administrative offices.
