The Lake Chelan Vision Project is the first project of its kind in this community since 2006.

In partnership with the City of Chelan, Our Valley Our Future (OVOF) has launched the Lake Chelan Vision Project to identify core community values from residents all around the lower Lake Chelan basin and to lay the foundation for future generations.

The Lake Chelan Vision Project will bring all voices to the table with:
a bilingual
community survey

listening sessions for various demographic groups
interviews of community leaders and other activities
These “community conversations” are built around a series of questions that dive into what Lake Chelan Valley residents value most about their community, what they see changing, what they perceive as the greatest challenges, and what “vision” idea they have that will improve the quality of life for all.
The Lake Chelan Vision Project is an important investment in community building. We invite all residents to participate and to shape the future of our lakeside communities collectively, and, in so doing, improve the quality of life for all. We can’t leave the Lake Chelan Valley’s future to chance!

Our Valley Our Future is honored to assist the Lake Chelan Valley in this important outreach and visioning work.
OVOF values inclusive community engagement, guided by the principle “Nothing About Us Without Us.” This approach has shaped our work, resulting in two regional Action Plans (2017-21 and 2022-26).
When engaging residents, OVOF doesn’t conduct “just another survey.”
OVOF’s grassroots process provides a microphone for groups not traditionally reached or heard from.
This also builds and strengthens community relationships, creates greater community collaboration and ownership, uncovers innovative solutions, and enhances sustainability.
